The house is situated beside to the Scuola Dalmata of San Giorgio dei Schiavoni, famous for the finest paintings of Carpaccio. From the rooms on the third floor (no elevator) you can enjoy spectacular views over the rooftops, the clocktowers and the bridge over a characteristic canal.
It is very well positioned 5 minutes walking distance from S.Marco the main square and S.Zaccaria or Ospedale boat stop, but a bit away from tourists most beaten tracks, in a fascinating neighborhood of Castello with some local life. It is the ideal location for discovering Venice from inside, walking to anywhere since all the island is the interesting heritage town or getting lost with no destination in canals and alleyways, that is the best way to enjoy this unique place and feel like in a movie or a dream.. At your disposal books and guides in many languages to know more about the history of Venice since the past is still there to be contemplated and has more meaning than the present ;- )

Reviews
We were there to see the Venice Biennale
There were lots of pamphlets that other guests had left which were really helpful for plotting our stay. There are also lots of books in different languages about Venice. There was a CD player in our room and lots of CD's in the kitchen to choose from. Having music whilst getting ready in the morning and having breakfast was lovely. The breakfast was very ad hoc - you never knew what pastries would be in the basket. It felt very homey to be there. The furniture in the bedroom was tasteful”

Marco was absolutely lovely made us feel so comfortable!
As soon as we arrived he offered us coffee and sat down with a map and showed us good places to go!! Location was great, away from the busy tourist areas with a short walk in and a supermarket down the road. The room was great heaps better than what we expected (with aircon) and the view was breathtaking. The style of the apartment is very cool and eclectic. To top off the stay we had an delicious breakfast set out in the morning of pastries, fruit and coffee. Thank you Marco for making us feel at home will definitely be back!!
